Read - Numbers 27:12-23
• There's no magic wand to make someone a leader. It does not happen instantly. Instead, it takes time and effort to
develop the qualities of a leader. Why bother? Because everybody leads somebody.
Numbers 27:12-14
• A leader who I look up to and count on is:
• Even great leaders are not perfect and will not be around forever. Some things I
appreciate about the leader I listed above are:
I am learning from the example of the leaders in my life. I see and learn
from the things
that are great and the
things that aren't so great.

I do not have anyone I can think of like that in my life. I will ask God to
give me someone from whom I can learn how to lead.
Numbers 27:15-16
• This verse tells me that God knows the spirit that is in me and in other people. as well as the best
person to lead a particular group in a particular time. So, does God know whether I am capable
of learning, growing and then leading in a specific situation? Yes No
• Does He know if someone else should lead? Yes No
• Will I choose to trust Him with that? Yes No
Numbers 27:17
• Various leadership roles require different specific gifts, talents, or abilities. One talent or ability
that I know God has given me is:

• I may not be ready to lead a whole nation at this point in my life, but Joshua was not when he
first started out either. I can choose to focus on what God wants me to do now, instead of what I
can't do. One growth point that I think God wants me to be focused on now is:
