Let’s look at the same story from another angle:<br />
You get the flat tire. You get into the trauma-drama for a minute and remember your<br />
tools. You say, “Interesting Point of View, I Have This Point of View… Interesting POV<br />
that I am concluding and deciding that what just occurred is a wrong and bad thing. That<br />
I am concluding that everything I want is now gone.” And now that you’re saying it, the<br />
energy starts to dissipate. It takes you out of trauma, drama, fear and judgment of<br />
something being wrong. And you are no longer deathly afraid of being WRONG.<br />
All of a sudden, a truck stops for you. A lovely young man gets out and starts helping<br />
you with your tire. You share the story of your interview. He asks, “What kind of job was<br />
it?” You tell him. And he says, “Wow, my father has a company just like that. I’ll<br />
introduce you to him.” In the end, you get a job with the father’s company that you love<br />
and that pays twice as much as the one you were interviewing for.<br />
Let’s look at another scenario. (I want you to really get this!)<br />
You find a mess your child left on the kitchen counter and the overflowing trash can and<br />
you get angry. Why are you the one left to clean this up? Your husband is supposed to<br />
clean up after the kids and take out the trash! You worked all day and already cleaned<br />
up the breakfast dishes… Doesn’t this just suck, etc.<br />
Now, you remember to use the tool:<br />
Interesting Point of View, I Have This Point of View:<br />
Hmmm, isn’t it interesting that I believe that my husband has to be the one to wash the<br />
kids’ dishes and take out the garbage?<br />
You see that you’re making him responsible for your happiness in this moment. When<br />
