CHAPTER 3:
Close the Back Door
So, there I am, living blissfully on my mountaintop with my partner—a man who also
happens to be a very successful, spiritual and aware healer. Maybe 10 years into our
life together, he tells me, “You’re moving into the next phase of your astrological cycle.”
“Interesting,” I say. “And…?”
“You’ll begin moving towards the outer world again. So get ready to start re-creating
yourself!”
“What do you mean, recreate?” I asked. “What else would I do? Who else would I be?
I’m going to go out and become a ballet dancer?”
Now, astrology is an algorithm, so I don't buy it 100 percent. (I’ll explain that in another
book, but suffice it to say, I know my choice trumps everything.) However, I was willing
to look at what he was saying and at what that possibility could create.
I knew something inside me was ready to make itself known, at least to me in this
moment, so I gave up my resistance. I started diving into my very large bag of tools:
EFT, NLP, emotional code… I'll spare you the entire list. And, of course, my partner was
also using his amazing energy healing skills with me.
While I didn’t have the words of Access Consciousness yet, I knew the energy of what I
was essentially asking for:
What would it take for me to be all of ME!
What would it take for me to shut my back door
so I never give me up again?
