STAYCATION
There’s no place
like home
I don’t know about you, but I can’t
quite believe its August already.

However, I am very much
enjoying the weather at
the moment. I even took
some cheeky annual
leave to… well, relax
at home.
I had a staycation and I highly
recommend it.
Sure, I love jetting off
somewhere just as much as
much as anyone else but there
are some definite pros to
having a few days off without
actually upping sticks.
Firstly no arrangements for
hotels, travel or pets had to
be made. So imagine the expenses of these, and now
spend them on local days out, experiences, dinner at
your favourite restaurant or a takeaway!
One of my favourite days out is still the zoo. So, that’s
exactly what I dedicated one of my staycation days to.
Think of all your favourite activities to do and draw up
a weekly schedule. Some options include the beach,
shopping centres, heritage sites and sports centres. An
obvious advantage of visiting attractions on a weekday
is they are not quite as crowded as they would be on
the weekend.
A local attraction that is perfect for one of your
staycation days is Thetford forest. Whether you are
looking for a leisurely stroll in the endless woodland,
the perfect picnic hotspot or outdoor activities such
as canoeing or GoApe! (segways and more) Thetford
forest has your covered.
