approaching the site not to enter through<br />
the village, as well as a sign near the top of<br />
Downsview Drive warning drivers of parked cars<br />
outside the village shop.<br />

A formal decision notice for this application is<br />
still awaited, pending Lewes District Council’s<br />
receipt of a Section 106 (developer contributions)<br />

LW/16/0078 – Wivelsfield Primary School<br />
The new hall extension structure is nearing<br />
completion and internal fit-out works are in<br />
progress. During the School summer holidays,<br />
Sunninghill Construction are demolishing the<br />
existing storage cupboards, diverting electrical<br />
and heating services and laying new flooring in<br />
advance of the School re-opening on 5 September<br />
2016. The new classroom extension is progressing<br />
well despite the great British summer! The brick<br />
and block walls are nearing completion and<br />
Sunninghill are preparing to commence the<br />
construction of the roof over the next few weeks.<br />
Sunninghill anticipate by December 2016 the<br />
hall works will be complete and the classroom<br />
extension will be decorated, awaiting final fit-out.<br />
WIVeLSfIeLD NeIGHbourHooD PLAN –<br />
GreAt NeWS!<br />
As part of the Neighbourhood Plan process the<br />
Plan has to be scrutinised by an independent<br />
Examiner. The Wivelsfield Neighbourhood Plan<br />
was submitted to the independent examiner,<br />
Mr Jeremy Edge, to determine whether the<br />
neighbourhood plan met the Basic Conditions.<br />
As stated in the Examiner’s Report which can<br />
be read at the link below, Mr Edge has decided<br />
that the Wivelsfield Neighbourhood Plan meets<br />
the Basic Conditions subject to modifications<br />
and should proceed to a referendum. We will<br />
work with Lewes District Council to consider<br />
the recommendations made and a Decision<br />
Statement will be published in due course.<br />
