Hello again. It’s hard to believe we’re three quarters of the way through the year.
Where does the time go?
Community Speedwatch
I’d like to draw your attention to the article in
this edition about our Community Speedwatch
initiative. organised by John Wigzell, this
community driven initiative is looking for
volunteers to spare a few hours once a month
to monitor the speed of vehicles through the
village. With the increase in the volume of
traffic, and in particular goods vehicles serving
the Cala development site, this initiative is most
worthwhile. I, for one, have put my hand up to
take part and I hope you will too.
Wanted: New Councillors
Seriously, we need more people like you to join
the Parish Council. If you are willing to give
up a few hours each month to be involved in
matters ranging from planning applications,
supporting our clubs and societies, maintaining
the green & playground, street lighting etc…
then do please contact us at the Clerk’s office.
It is a rewarding experience and not as time
consuming as you might imagine.
