News
Hello and welcome to the September edition
of the Wivelsfield News.
Welcome also to anyone new to the Parish, or
to reading the News, including the Reverend
Christopher Powell and his family. Until recently
Christopher was Rector of Clayton with Keymer.
Christopher will be inducted as our new vicar
on the 22nd September with the service being
led by the Bishop of Horsham. We hope that he
and his family – and any other newcomers to the
Parish – will be very happy here.
In this edition we have information about a
forthcoming comedy presented by Wivelsfield
Little Theatre, details of the Community
Speedwatch Scheme and information about our
County Councillor, Jim Sheppard. It may be a little
early to start thinking about Christmas for many
of us, but for those planning Christmas events,
organisation is already in full swing. Please
therefore forgive the inclusion of a couple of
Christmas event-related articles in this magazine.
Quarterly magazines being what they are, it
would be too late to leave them to bring to
your attention in the December edition.
