picnic-style movie viewing held in our<br />

Mach 5 Aviation hangar located on<br />

Rickenbacker Way! Mach 5 Aviation is<br />

offering a FREE, family-friendly Movie<br />

event featuring the movie, Top Gun!<br />

There will be food trucks, drinks from<br />

Moonraker Brewing and a Margarita<br />

stand, and pre-movie entertainment;<br />

participating establishments will be<br />

donating a portion of their proceeds<br />

to the <strong>Auburn</strong> Gold Country Rotary<br />

and the <strong>Auburn</strong> Aviation Association’s<br />

scholarship fund, promoting aviation<br />

BLOOD ROAD<br />

August 31, 2017<br />

<strong>Auburn</strong> State Theatre<br />

8 pm - 9:30 pm<br />

Blood Road follows the journey of<br />

ultra-endurance mountain bike athlete<br />

Rebecca Rusch and her Vietnamese<br />

riding partner, Huyen Nguyen, as<br />

they pedal 1,200 miles along the<br />

infamous Ho Chi Minh Trail through<br />

the dense jungles of Vietnam, Laos,<br />

and Cambodia. Their goal: to reach<br />

the crash site and final resting place of<br />

Rebecca’s father, a U.S. Air Force pilot<br />

shot down over Laos some 40 years<br />

earlier. During this poignant voyage of<br />

self-discovery, the women push their<br />

bodies to the limit while learning more<br />

about the historic ‘Blood Road’ they’re<br />

pedaling and how the Vietnam War<br />

shaped their lives in different ways.<br />

The Gold Country Fair takes place<br />

during the first week of September<br />

every year in the beautiful Gold<br />

Country Fairgrounds in <strong>Auburn</strong>, CA.<br />

The event is a 54-year-old tradition,<br />

is four days long and is jam-packed<br />

full of family activities everyone can<br />

enjoy! Some of the wonderful things<br />

you’ll enjoy at the fair: our friendly<br />

atmosphere, new and traditional<br />

competitive livestock exhibits, handson<br />

kid activities, a large carnival of<br />

exciting rides, delicious specialty<br />

foods, multiple stages of fantastic all<br />

local entertainment, fun contests,<br />

strolling entertainers, blockbuster<br />

concerts, a fabulously fun Demolition<br />

Derby, unique crafters and a variety of<br />

commercial and local exhibits.<br />
