Mernigilda Masing Pagaduan<br />

Gilda was born in Cavite City but grew up in Olongapo<br />

City. Her parents are from the Visayas. Her marriage <strong>to</strong><br />

Ed Pagaduan at an early age of 17 was blessed with five<br />

wonderful children, two girls and three boys. She is now a proud<br />

grandmother <strong>to</strong> a four-month old baby boy. For Gilda, her children<br />

are “the greatest love of all”. Ed and Gilda migrated in Australia in<br />

1993 and they are happily married for last 34 years.<br />

An avid fan of Sharon Cuneta, Gilda developed her passion in singing<br />

in 2000 in Sydney. With her beauty and vivacious personality, her love<br />

for music brought her <strong>to</strong> sing <strong>to</strong> in concerts, birthday and anniversary<br />

celebrations and in Filipino Australian community events. Her<br />

most memorable experience was when she performed with<br />

her idol Megastar Sharon Cuneta concert in Sydney. To<br />

her, this was a dream come true. Gilda loves dancing,<br />

walking, outing and bonding with her family.<br />

For Gilda being a mother is a gift which must be<br />

cherished and nurtured and children are every mother’s<br />

greatest pride and joy.<br />

Pilar Milagros Quilliam<br />

Pilar Barcelo was born in Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines, the eldest of the<br />

eight children (6 girls & 2 boys) of the late Judge Mariano T. Barcelo and<br />

Rustica “Nena” Salazar Barcelo.<br />

Her grandmother and Mum, used <strong>to</strong> play the violin, piano, or guitar while they<br />

sing. Her brothers and sisters are all musically talented in their own way and level<br />

of interest. Pilar is endowed with a beautiful and powerful voice that could win that<br />

feeling of attention and admiration of the audience.<br />

In the Philippines, she worked at the Provincial Government Office,<br />

in Iligan, Isabela. She always got nominated <strong>to</strong> conduct and lead the<br />

National Anthem during seminars and conferences, and <strong>to</strong> sing solo<br />

as part of the program. She is that type of person, always ready <strong>to</strong><br />

perform when requested.<br />

A resident of Min<strong>to</strong>, NSW Australia, married <strong>to</strong> Kevin Quilliam and<br />

have two intelligent daughters. Currently works as an Administration<br />

Officer with the New South Wales State Government. Music is her<br />

life. Her passion for music made her join various Associations / Organizations,<br />

sharing her talent the best way she could.<br />

Pilar is regarded as the “versatile member” of the SYDNEY SONATA<br />

SINGERS, she can always jump <strong>to</strong> any voice group who needs backup.<br />

She sings in Church Choirs <strong>to</strong>o during mass in Min<strong>to</strong> and Liverpool.<br />

She is as busy as a bee juggling work, family and MUSIC.
