NARRA Tribute to Mothers & Fathers 2017

Mernigilda Masing Pagaduan
Gilda was born in Cavite City but grew up in Olongapo
City. Her parents are from the Visayas. Her marriage to
Ed Pagaduan at an early age of 17 was blessed with five
wonderful children, two girls and three boys. She is now a proud
grandmother to a four-month old baby boy. For Gilda, her children
are “the greatest love of all”. Ed and Gilda migrated in Australia in
1993 and they are happily married for last 34 years.
An avid fan of Sharon Cuneta, Gilda developed her passion in singing
in 2000 in Sydney. With her beauty and vivacious personality, her love
for music brought her to sing to in concerts, birthday and anniversary
celebrations and in Filipino Australian community events. Her
most memorable experience was when she performed with
her idol Megastar Sharon Cuneta concert in Sydney. To
her, this was a dream come true. Gilda loves dancing,
walking, outing and bonding with her family.
For Gilda being a mother is a gift which must be
cherished and nurtured and children are every mother’s
greatest pride and joy.
Pilar Milagros Quilliam
Pilar Barcelo was born in Tumauini, Isabela, Philippines, the eldest of the
eight children (6 girls & 2 boys) of the late Judge Mariano T. Barcelo and
Rustica “Nena” Salazar Barcelo.
Her grandmother and Mum, used to play the violin, piano, or guitar while they
sing. Her brothers and sisters are all musically talented in their own way and level
of interest. Pilar is endowed with a beautiful and powerful voice that could win that
feeling of attention and admiration of the audience.
In the Philippines, she worked at the Provincial Government Office,
in Iligan, Isabela. She always got nominated to conduct and lead the
National Anthem during seminars and conferences, and to sing solo
as part of the program. She is that type of person, always ready to
perform when requested.
A resident of Minto, NSW Australia, married to Kevin Quilliam and
have two intelligent daughters. Currently works as an Administration
Officer with the New South Wales State Government. Music is her
life. Her passion for music made her join various Associations / Organizations,
sharing her talent the best way she could.
Pilar is regarded as the “versatile member” of the SYDNEY SONATA
SINGERS, she can always jump to any voice group who needs backup.
She sings in Church Choirs too during mass in Minto and Liverpool.
She is as busy as a bee juggling work, family and MUSIC.
