Batelco to launch services
in Durrat Al Bahrain
Batelco, a leading digital
communications services provider,
partnered with Durrat Al Bahrain
management early October, to provide
fast Fibre Internet services for residents
of the prestigious development, which is
located in the South of Bahrain.
This agreement was signed by
Batelco’s CEO Eng. Muna Al Hashemi
Clinic sponsored by Batelco
The Batelco sponsored Imam Hussain
Clinic was officially opened on
October 7 by H. E. Shaikh Hisham bin
Abdul-Rahman Al Khalifa, Governor of
the Capital Governorate.
The Clinic, which is sponsored by
Batelco, is opened each year during the
period of Muharram to attend to the
health needs of those participating in
the commemoration of Ashoora.
Batelco’s Senior Manager Corporate
Affairs Osama Alsaad, who attended
and Durrat Al Bahrain’s CEO Eng.
Mahmood Abdul Rahman during a
recent meeting at Batelco’s Hamala
headquarters. Key officials from both
organizations attended.
The launch of Batelco’s Super fast
Fibre services for Durrat Al Bahrain is
part of Batelco’s network expansion
plans to deliver super-fast Internet
services all over the Kingdom.
Al Hashemi stated that Batelco was
delighted to enter into the partnership
with Durrat Al Bahrain management in
order to enable the delivery of Batelco’s
extensive portfolio of services for
residents of this unique residential
location.
“We have been investing
continuously over recent years to
expand our Fibre network into new
developments throughout the Kingdom,”
she said.
Al Hashemi added, “We are very
pleased with the progress made so far
and also with the enthusiastic response
from customers who have subscribed for
the Fibre services.”

VIVA Introduces Direct
Carrier
VIVA Bahrain introduced the Direct
Carrier Billing service with Google
early October, enabling its Postpaid and
Prepaid customers to now shop and
enjoy their favorite Apps and digital
content and enjoy them instantly on
their Android devices. With this new
service, VIVA Bahrain is offering a
simple, safe and secure payment option
for its subscribers to make their online
Google Play purchases via their prepaid
credit or monthly-postpaid bill without
the need of using their credit cards.
The new service was facilitated by the
strategic partnership between VIVA
Bahrain and Intigral, a leading provider
of end-to-end billing services in the
MENA region.
As the first telecom operator to
launch this service in Bahrain, VIVA
subscribers can now buy and download
a wide variety of digital content on the
Google Play store, the official application
store for Android smartphones and
tablets. From apps and games to eBooks
and newsstand, all the content will now
be readily available on Google Play when
accessed using the VIVA mobile account.
Customers can set-up their payment
option within the Google Play Store or
during their first purchase which once
installed, will allow them to charge app
and content purchases from the Play
Store directly to their mobile accounts.
The Google Play store, which comes
pre-installed on Android devices, allows
users to purchase, download and install
applications from Google and third-party
developers.
