Statement of Intent:
Serving as an officer on the MNA Board of Directors has become an
important part of my nursing career, and through MNA, I have been granted
the opportunity to serve the nurses of our state. I feel I have a thorough
understanding of how each position on the MNA Board plays an integral
role in the successful accomplishments of our organization. It is my desire to
continue to serve by asking for your support as I run for Treasurer.
As Treasurer of MNA, I pledge to work closely with the Board members and
Executive Director to ensure that MNA continues to advance in a positive
financial position with sound fiscal policies and programs to benefit the
membership of MNA and advance MNA’s mission. I have served on the MNA
Committee for Finance for the past four years and have gained a comprehensive
understanding of the financial challenges of MNA as a non-profit and the
significance of monitoring the fiscal practices of our organization. Working in
leadership roles throughout my nursing career has allowed me to gain valuable
experience with budget preparations and I feel these experiences, combined
with my experience in serving on the Finance Committee, have prepared me
