This week marks the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Beersheba with the famous
charge of the Australian Light Horse on October 31 1917 which enabled the Allies to
capture Gaza a week later on November 7, 1917 and shorten the world war.

her honour this Sunday November

The Weekly Times popular annual pre-Christmas
Cheery Cherry Picking Trip to Orange is on again Saturday
December 9 departing Ryde at 6.30am.
We will be renewing our friendships with the people and community
of Orange established with the mayor of Orange John Davis
OAM and Deputy Mayor Chris Gryllis and councillors over the
years.
We will again travel by luxury coach and depart Ryde at 6.30am
and return approximately 8pm.
All inclusive cost of just $85 includes morning tea, sumptuous
luncheon at Orange and refreshments, reserved return seat and
visit to cherry orchard and other venues and a happy day with new
