Following a successful year of new events for St
Barnabas Hospice, a further brand new event has just
been launched taking place in Lincoln City Centre.
The Spring Fun Run is due to be held on Sunday 25th
March. This untimed run is open to all, with a 2.5k and
5k routes to choose from. The charity is encouraging
those wanting to get involved to wear their best spring
themed outfits for the fun run. There will also be a
prize at the end for the best dressed.
Laura Stones, Events Fundraiser for St Barnabas
Hospice, said: “We are really looking forward to
bringing a brand new event to the centre of Lincoln
and think this is something that all the family can get
involved in. There are no age restrictions and child
entry includes a free mask to decorate and wear on
the day.
“We want to see everyone dressed up in their best
Easter themed outfits and there will be a special
prize for the best dressed. We think this event will
bring together the whole family for a fantastic cause,
whether you are running in memory of a loved one, or
just to have fun!”
On the day there will be a warm up, an array of
merchandise, cakes and a chocolate tombola.
Spectators are also welcome to come along for a day
out and enjoy another fantastic charity event.
Laura said: “Events like this Spring Fun Run are crucial
in helping raise the funds needed to continue caring
and supporting over 9,000 people across Lincolnshire
that are living with a life-limiting or terminal illness.
“St Barnabas works tirelessly to ensure patients and
their families make the most of every second they
share, regardless of how much time remains.”
To take part, adult tickets are only £10, and children’s
