Join us for this fun-packed free family event at Lincoln Cathedral with a
rare glimpse inside the historic Old Deanery on Eastgate within the
Cathedral grounds, soon to be transformed into the new Visitor Centre
as part of the Lincoln Cathedral Connected project.
Be transported back to the Medieval Deanery that once stood here
with medieval-themed demonstrations and activities throughout the
event. These include medieval musicians de Mowbray’s Musicke,
the Cathedral’s Illuminator Toni Watts, Derek Tindell with his
magnificent Birds of Prey and Janet Reade of Forgotten Fare.
Using google technology to bring the long lost buildings back
to life, you can experience an amazing virtual tour of both the
Medieval Works Chantry and Medieval Deanery. Take a peek
into the Cathedral’s medieval past with some of the locally
discovered artefacts out on display.
Don’t miss this final opportunity to see the Old Deanery
before the great reveal in 2020 and see brand new
plans for the exhibition spaces displaying some of the
Cathedral’s treasures never before on public display,
the interactive Discovery Zone and Learning Centre.

or holly wreath using card cut-outs, coloured
paper and sparkly shapes.
Gorgeous Gingerbread
Decorate gingerbread biscuits with icing, sweets &
silver balls. Create your own Christmas masterpiece
to eat or wrap up & take home for later.
Storytime Children’s Corner
Listen to stories with a Christmas theme
around the tree, sing songs and make a simple
decoration to take home. Story times: 10.30am,
11.30 am, 1.30pm & 2.30pm
