Remediation
Some of you may have noticed that for about a week in
both October and November, the doors were left unlocked
on our floor, and a lot of strangers were wondering to the
restrooms. Who were those strangers?
Not the actors from Stranger Things, but maybe the people
in the white coats. The people in the white coats came to Denver from all over the nation.
Well, Mike Kwiecinski, and Jennifer Strauss were working on the Interstate Technology
Regulatory Council (ITRC) TPH Risk Evaluation at Petroleum Contaminated Sites project
in October, with their team. ITRC’s team mission is, “To build consensus around
environmental challenges and be ready to focus resources on developing innovative
approaches to address those challenges.”
Erik Gessert and Tom Fox worked with their team in November on the Light Non-Aqueous
Phase Liquids (LNAPL) Update project. The team’s objective is to develop up-to-date
web-based guidance that documents relevant historic information for the assessment and
management of LNAPL contaminated sites as well as lessons learned and cutting edge
new science developed in recent years.
