The Sports Awards 2017 took place at<br />
School on Friday 10th November with all<br />
sports included from gymnastics,<br />
basketball, netball, football, tennis,<br />
rugby, hockey, equestrian, cricket,<br />
rounders, to athletics. Winners were<br />
announced in every Key Stage.<br />
As there is so much talent, we don’t have<br />
room to print every name, but the overall<br />
Team of the Year was announced as the<br />
Boys Indoor Cricket - Years 9 and 10.<br />

Our very own Business Studies Teacher, Mr Langworthy has been<br />
named as England Manager for the newly-formed Over-60s<br />
Walking Football team. Mr Langworthy is an active player in the<br />
local Gloucestershire Walking Football league and plays for<br />
Abbeymead Rovers.<br />
Mr Langworthy commented, “I am thrilled to be offered the role<br />
of Manager for the England Over-60s Walking Football team.<br />
Having seen the impact the game has had on so many people, it is<br />
an absolute honour and privilege to be involved in the game at the<br />
national level and I hope that the squad we select will become<br />
ambassadors for the sport.”
