THE VOYAGE & THE COTSWOLD SCHOOL CHAMBER CHOIR
In a rare opportunity, The Cotswold School Chamber Choir was
invited to join an evening with the Wychwood Chorale and Eight in
a Bar at St Mary’s Church on Saturday 2nd December. The Voyage
was written by the British Choral Composer Bob Chilcott and the
poet Charles Bennet, in a response to a request from Age UK
Oxfordshire to imagine a piece that might support their ongoing
campaign to end loneliness.
Mr Bob Chilcott commented, “I wanted to say thank you to you,
your colleagues and your terrific choir for the contribution that you
all made to the performance of my piece on Saturday night. I think
it was incredibly impressive to have such a large choir from the
school and one that not only sang so well but also presented itself
in such a professional and committed way.”
