<strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> <strong>Association</strong> – Approver is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the<br />
American <strong>Nurses</strong> Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Accreditation has been granted for<br />
two years, from June 26, <strong>2017</strong> to November 30, 2019 per the Commission.<br />

To date, <strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> <strong>Association</strong> Continuing Education Review Committee (CERC) has one<br />
organization, Ethica, as an approved provider status. Two more organizations are interested in becoming<br />
approved providers<br />
To date, <strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> <strong>Association</strong> Continuing Education Review Committee has approved 9 Individual<br />
Activity (IA) Applications and 2 IA Applications submitted<br />
To date, <strong>Georgia</strong> <strong>Nurses</strong> <strong>Association</strong> Continuing Education Review Committee held one Continuing<br />
Nursing Education Seminar: Expanding Your Skills and Making a Difference In Continuing Nursing<br />
Education. This educational activity was a blended learning activity with 5.9 nursing contact hours. An<br />
online self-directed component was developed with a live presentation on October 20, <strong>2017</strong>. There were<br />
27 participants. Summary Evaluation was 97% Excellent; 3% Good<br />
Fall Newsletter from the CERC due out in November<br />
● CERC Committee meetings held in June, July, August, September and October. Currently, there are 10<br />
Nurse Peer Reviewers (volunteer) of which 6 are new members completing final stages of orientation with<br />
Nurse Peer Review Leader (NPRL) and seasoned Nurse Peer Reviewers<br />

Three CERC Members attended the annual ANCC Continuing Education Seminar held in New Orleans in<br />
July<br />
Uploaded Approved Provider and Individual Activity Templates along with directions and guidelines to the<br />
GNA website<br />
Applications are electronically submitted at this time<br />
Updated and revised ANCC templates have been issued by ANCC and will upload the newer versions to<br />
website<br />
