Something For Everyone!
Power to
the Manufacturer!
I have often said instead of made
to last, that it now seems things are
made to fail. I recently read that one
cell phone company had a hidden
power mode in its phones that it
claims is supposed to help the battery
and power consumption when
the phone got older. Consumers had
noticed that the battery usage got
worse with every update they received.
The company can claim
what it wants, but I don’t think for
a minute that it is to help the customer.
The result is “buy a new battery,
buy a new phone or have a
slow, or poor performing phone that
needs charging often.”
I remember talking years ago to a
programmer in manufacturing,
about how a loop could be set to
make a program fail even years
later, after so many cycles of the
program running and would have
to be reprogrammed and he responded
“job security.”
doesn’t offer much information.
The most I
could find was a title,
which may not be the
true title of “The Good
sure because of John
Commandments
of Exodus Chapter 20 &
are repeated in
Deuteronomy Chapter 5
Faith
Jody Goodin, Evangelist
The Definition of Faith: Trust
in God. In Hebrews 11:1-3 it
reads; Now faith is the substance
of things hoped for, the
evidence of things not seen. For
by it the elders obtained a good
report. Through faith we understand
that the worlds were
framed by the word of God, so
that things which are seen were
not made of things which do
appear.
Faith is to Believe God without
doubt. In Hewbrews 11:6 it
reads; But without faith it is
impossible to please him: for he
that cometh to God must believe
that he is, and that he is a rewarder
of them that diligently
seek him.
You must have faith and believe
Jesus Christ died on the
cross for your sins and mine.
In Romans 10:9-10 it
reads;That if thou shalt confess
with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou
shalt be saved. For with the
heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth
confession is made unto salvation.
May God Bless you all until
next time when we will be
discussing Prayer!
The Ten Commandments
1 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
2 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image.
3 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy
God in vain.
4 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
5 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days
may be long upon the land which the LORD thy
God giveth thee.
6 Thou shalt not kill.
7 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
8 Thou shalt not steal.
9 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy
neighbour.
10 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house...
nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.

What is the Secret of the FULLNESS of the SPIRIT?
Eph 5-18 the absolute unqualified surrender of our LIFE to
GOD, to do HIS will instead of our OWN, I Cor 6:19-20,
when we surrender our SINS and REPENT and BELIEVE,
we RECEIVE the HOLY GHOST Rom 8:9.. When we surrender
our LIVES TOTALLY we are to be FILLED.
At conversion NEW BIRTH John 3-3 the HOLY GHOST
enters.. HE lives within, HE wants FULL POSSESSION of
this abundant LIFE. JOHN 10-10 is the SECRET to PEACE,
POWER, LOVE, CONTENTMENT, FULFILLMENT,
EASE OF MIND, we have PASSED from DEATH unto LIFE
John 5-24.. your NAME is wrote down in heaven Luke 10-
20..the BLOOD has CLEANSED you from ALL sin.. your
past is gone Heb 10-17 ..GUILT is GONE (GLORY).
Rom 8. THREE Questions are asked? WHO SHALL
CHARGE US? Vs-33 WHO SHALL CONDEMN US? Vs
34.. WHO CAN SEPARATE US?..Vs 35 answer these questions
logically and truthfully. The BIBLE is all that MAT-
TERS? Have you received CHRIST as SAVIOUR? As a
BORN again BELIEVER do you have this ABUNDANT
LIFE?
WHAT IS A BILLION?
The next time you hear a politician use the word “billion”
casually think about whether you do, or don’t,
want that politician spending your tax money !
A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, but an
advertising agency did a good job of putting that figure
in perspective in one of its releases:
A billion seconds ago, it was 1959.
A billion minutes ago, Jesus was alive.
A billion hours ago was before creation .
A billion dollars ago, was only 8 hours and 20 minutes
at the rate Washington spends our tax money.
That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of
men, but in the power of God. I Cor. 2:5

2017 marks the 40 year anniversary of Mike New providing southern
Kentucky with excellent service in the transmission repair industry.
Mike New has spent four decades building his reputation in the
transmission business. Beginning with Pulaski Transmission in the
70's and now with The Transmission Store, thousands of customers
have been helped with superior service, backed by excellent warranties.
As with anything mechanical, problems can occur after a repair
and this is why the warranty is so important. Today transmission
rebuilds cost hundreds to thousands of dollars and you want
to know your hard earned money is protected.
We have started doing other types of automotive repairs.
Brakes, engine, suspension, diesel, etc.
Forty years in business, offering excellent service,
The rules are simple. A quick look reveals that the
puzzle is a 9-by-9 grid of squares divided into
nine 3-by-3 square blocks, with some of the
squares filled in for you. The object is to fill in
the blank squares in such a way that each
of the numbers1 to 9 appears exactly
once in each row, column, and block.
If the puzzle has been constructed properly,
there should be only one way to complete the
diagram within the rules of the game.
Despite this apparent simplicity,
solving some sudoku puzzles
can be complicated indeed.
beginning to see more attacks
from viruses & fungi.
LA Zoo euthanizes herd of Nubian
Ibex due to highly contagious virus
12-21-2017
Six African antelope fell sick and
died in October of malignant catarrhal
fever, which the zoo discovered
came from the Nubian Ibex
(goats that are found in the mountains
in the Middle East). The disease
develops from a strain of herpes
that is carried without symptoms.
Brutal Fungal Disease Could
Threaten Snakes on a Global Scale
12-21-2017
The snake fungal disease (SFD), is
caused by a pathogenic fungus that
grows on a variety of snakes. 23
species have fallen victim to it. The
snake begins to develop lesions on
its body, which soon cover the entire
length of the serpent. The infection
can be cleared if the snake
starts to shed its skin. However,
many animals die from it, either as
a result of the infection itself or because
behavior exhibited when the
snakes are fighting the illness make
them vulnerable to other forms of
death. At present, no snake species
appear immune to the disease, raising
the very real prospect of a global
infection.
The idea of Go Figure is to
arrive at the figures given at the
bottom and right-hand columns
of the diagram by following the
arithmetic signs in the order
they are given (that is, from left
to right and top to bottom). Use
only the numbers below the
diagram to complete its blank
squares and use each of the
nine numbers only once.
The albatross sometimes follows a ship for days, but is
Have you been eating black eyed peas and
cabbage on New Year's Day? Why do we
eat those foods? For "good luck"? Where
did the tradition start?
Some say the idea of eating black eyed
peas on New Year's started at the time of
the Civil War.
Peas were considered animal food and not
fit for Union soldiers. That meant peas were
the only food that was left for the Confederate
forces and families to eat. These
Southerners considered themselves lucky
to have a meal of peas and salt pork in the
dead of winter.
Other sources trace the eating of peas back
to the Egyptians. At the time of the Pharaohs
it was considered a sign of humility
before the gods to eat such a lowly food.
What about Cabbage? Most people will
tell you they eat cabbage or collard greens
to insure prosperity. The green leaves represent
money. The real truth is closer to this.
Cabbage and collard greens are late crops.
That means, especially in the south, they
would be plentiful and ready for harvest in
early January. Fresh veggies meant good
nutrition.
The ancient Egyptians, the Greeks, and the
Romans ate cabbage. They ate it to ward
off disease and aid digestion.
In the last issue we talked about the importance of hiring an Wedding Planner. I was going to talk about
choosing a Venue but decided to talk about choosing your Wedding Party. When looking at Venues, your
wedding party can be a big help! Choosing your party can be a very difficult decision to make. Should
I choose friends, family or a mixture of both? Whose feelings am I going to hurt?
The last thing you want to do is hurt someone's feelings, however this isn't about others, this is your day.
Those that truly care about you will understand how important this decision is to make. The wedding
party usually consist of a Matron or Maid of Honor, she is the person that helps the bride. It's the maid/
matron of honor's (MOH) job to direct the other maids through their duties. Make sure everyone gets
their bridesmaid dresses, go to dress fittings, and find the right jewelry. Some brides choose several
brides maids, which can be very helpful. Here is a list of delegations for the bridesmaids.
- Helps the bride with the planning of the wedding.
- they help the bride with errands on the wedding day.
- Helps decorate ceremony if necessary.
- They help with organizing or assisting with hair and make-up.
- Helps with or the making of table decorations and or wedding crafts.
- Helps with arranging wedding favors.
- Helpts maid or matron of honor with Bachelorette party and bridal shower.
- Bridesmaids usually pay for their own gown and accessories.
- Attend ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
The Groom will have to choose his Best Man and Groomsmen. The Best Man has responsibilities too.
Here is a list of delegations for the Best Man and Groomsmen.
- Assists with the tuxedos.
- Organizes the Groomsmen's fittings.
- Plans the Bachelor's Party.
- Help the Groom get dressed.
- Give a toast to the Couple.
- Groomsmen and Best Man usually pay for their own tuxedo.
- Attends ceremony rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
Choosing a flower girl and ring bearer is all that is left. It is important for the children to be age appropriate
for them to follow directions; usually ages 4-8. Making this decision is no easy task however the sooner
the better, this allows everyone time to buy what they need. Happy Planning!!
