voluntary participation of local law enforcement departments <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> U.S.<br />
Not all departments that participate <strong>in</strong> NIBRS report data for a full year.<br />
In fact, about 10% of all participat<strong>in</strong>g departments reported data for less<br />
than 12 months <strong>in</strong> 2012. As a result, this table is based on data from<br />
departments that reported for a complete year. In 2012, nearly 5,400 law<br />
enforcement agencies contributed complete year arrest data to NIBRS.<br />
This table summarizes <strong>the</strong> data reported by <strong>the</strong>se complete year<br />
report<strong>in</strong>g departments.<br />

In 2012, three of every ten <strong>Hispanic</strong> juvenile arrests known to law enforcement <strong>in</strong>volved<br />
