the workers
and volunteers
who keep things running
smoothly over Christmas
and New Year, and
acknowledges those
affected by the Gelita fire
in Woolston
THE HOLIDAY period is over
for most people now and what
a mixed bag of weather we
have had over this time.
I trust that you have had
some time for rest and
recreation and spending time
with family and friends.
While many of us did just
that, others spent their “holiday”
time making sure that we
were safe.
So I want to give a big
shout out and thanks to the
many volunteers who work so
hard, not for recognition or
acknowledgment, but for the
good of others.
Whether it be the surf
lifesavers, the firefighters, the
coastguards, community patrols
or the many others that
keep our communities strong
