A spin-off event from the hugely successful 12-hour Merdeka Millennium<br />
Endurance Race (MMER), the S1K is a touring car race that pits<br />
production cars below 1,800 cc against each other. <strong>The</strong> race has already<br />
attracted international entries from as far as Australia and Japan.<br />

the 10th Penang Island Jazz Festival is an independent festival fully<br />

on the main stage, there will also be a number of workshops<br />
and a mini jazz gallery. <strong>The</strong> festival has, through the years, seen many<br />
local and foreign acts from the US, UK, Australia, South Korea, Japan,<br />
Indonesia, Germany, Norway, Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil,<br />

12 HOUR WALK <strong>2013</strong><br />
<strong>The</strong> most exciting walk event in Malaysia is taking place again this<br />
year, with a strictly ‘walk, not run or jog’ theme. Entries will be closed<br />
once the total number of submissions has reached 1,000 by 7 <strong>Nov</strong>ember<br />
<strong>2013</strong>. In order to be qualified for receiving cash prizes, participants<br />
are required to cover at least 50 km (Men’s category) and 40 km<br />
(Women’s category) during the 12 hour walk. In addition, camping is<br />
also allowed on the competition ground.<br />
