The Fresh Prince
of VERBIER
Nestled amongst the crème de la crème of sublime luxurious
ski chalets in the canton of Valais stands Chalet Trois Couronnes.
Trumpeting a name that begets aristocracy, chalet
Trois Couronnes (Three Crowns) sits on a private estate
with supreme views of the breathtaking Swiss Alps.
Verbier is no stranger to royalty, with ski enthusiasts
and vacationers such as Prince Harry, Diana Ross, Richard
Branson and the Crown Prince and Crown Princess of
Denmark frequently making this quaint Swiss village part
of their retreat ritual. Thus, the birth of Trois Couronnes
seems apt, a Swiss abode of royal name and of royal stature.
This regal property took a team of highly skilled craftsmen,
architects, art connoisseurs and interior designers
from across Europe to study and assemble three distinct
chalet structures interconnected by linear art galleries. Such
attention to detail can only result in a masterpiece of impeccable
nuances and quality of craftsmanship. The entire
property was constructed based on an adaptation of local
historical construction techniques that lend to the authenticity
of the architecture.
The true luxury of this chef d’oeuvre may lie in its commanding
view, but the weaving of spatial journeys and lush
interiors is a reflection of the team’s bloodthirsty dedication
to design excellence. The antique pieces, fine art, transplanted
gothic fire places and woodwork were sourced from vawords
Now this is the story all about how A Swiss Chalet was crafted in Valais town
Decked out in precious timber, antiques and crisp Alpine air Thus Trois Couronnes
was crowned the Fresh Prince of Verbier.
rious cities such as Florence, Austria, Paris and Belgium. In
addition to these treasured historical jewels, other artefacts
such as floors and ceilings from the eighteenth and nineteenth
centuries, forged iron chandeliers, nineteenth-century
elevator doors and a soapstone oven turned up during
their hunt and were also incorporated into the interiors.
These three chalet residences were constructed of antique
wood and architectural elements reclaimed from other Alpine
chalets and a stone base.
