TROPICANA 218 MACALISTER<br />
— <strong>The</strong> luxurious Neo Designer Suite with unobstructed city view<br />
Tropicana 218 Macalister on the renowned Macalister Road<br />
marks something special for Tropicana Corporation Berhad.<br />
Combining contemporary lifestyle living with a central location<br />
just minutes from the Komtar building and some of<br />
Georgetown’s most recognisable heritage sites, Tropicana<br />
218 Macalister has an estimated gross development value of<br />
RM300 million.<br />
Split into four components, the two-block, 33-storey development<br />
will offer 208 hotel rooms under an international<br />
brand name hotel, 211 luxurious Neo Designer Suites, 88 serviced<br />
residences and 20 retail spaces. Residents will enjoy the<br />
benefits of a neighbourhood mall concept afforded by the retail<br />
units as well as the development’s modern features, amenities<br />
and services such as an aqua gym, garden, rock climbing<br />
facilities and a barbecue pit.<br />
<strong>The</strong> development’s signature Neo Designer Suites will spread<br />
across Tower A and Tower B, ranging in built-up area from<br />
378 – 1,312 square feet, while the serviced residences (683 –<br />
1,299 square feet built up) are set to occupy Tower B. <strong>The</strong><br />
hotel will be located in Tower A, which also houses the development’s<br />
impressive sky top lounge overlooking the sea.<br />
Tropicana 218 Macalister, which is primed for completion in<br />
2017, aims to leverage on Penang’s status as the eighth most<br />
liveable city in the world in 2012 as well as the island’s strong<br />
position as a major destination for foreigners under the<br />
MM2H scheme. Additionally, the development will prioritise<br />
security with a 24-hour security infrastructure combining intercom,<br />
three-tiered card access, CCTV and an alarm system.<br />
<strong>The</strong>re will also be dual key optional units (for units above<br />
1,299 square feet) that enhance investment opportunity.<br />
