Launched in 2012 by chris dimock
and Kristy abbott, the hornby-based
company handling equipment canterbury
has enjoyed rapid growth and built up a
loyal customer base over its first four years.
This is attributed to the extensive industry
experience of its management and staff and
their dedication to customer service.
chris had been involved in the industry for
the previous 15 years, and they have recently
appointed a dedicated testing manager, who
brings a wealth of lifting knowledge gained
from many years’ experience in the industry.
and as Kristy explains: “We focus on
catering to our customers’ needs and doing
everything we can to resolve situations. if
they need something urgently, we respond as
quickly as we can.”
Their customer base includes farmers,
transport companies, construction workers
and tradesmen, engineering firms and
home handymen. The company carries a
wide range of products including lifting
equipment such as chains and hoists,
height safety equipment, rigging hardware,
stainless fittings, rope, transport and lashing
equipment, ag-quip fittings and chains for
the farming sector and personal protection
equipment (PPe) such as
gloves, hard hats and boots.

has been the introduction
of its ecommerce website.
This targets three main client
groups – resellers and trade
accounts, who have a special login facility,
and the general public. a key feature of the
website is that each group will see pricing
specific to them, and will be able to order
and purchase products online. Brands offered
include Miller, Spanset, Titan, elephant and
Petzl.

partner they are offering customers the
opportunity to use their Farmlands card
when purchasing online.
“This is especially useful for our rural
customers, who can order online and get
very competitive pricing as well,” says Kristy.
