Lincoln High School Enviro
Council are hosting this event
for children to learn more
about the insects around them.
Make and colour some exciting
insects, visit the make believe
beehive, look at bugs through

The Sheffield Book Exchange

Take the books you have already
read and exchange them for
something different at the Sheffield
Hall. This event is held once a
month for book lovers to discover
new reads. There will be all kinds of
genres on offer. Leave the ones you
have enjoyed for someone else to pick
up when you swap it for a novel you
have never read.

starts at 6pm. 3km or 6km. Starts
from Leeston Physiotherapy.
Take a trip to West Melton and look at the stars. The Canterbury
Astronomical Society will open their observatory in the
evenings for kids to learn more about the universe and stars
around them. The observatory will be open every night from
7.30pm until 9pm for the duration of Kidsfest as long as the
weather is good. Check the society website http://www.cas.
org.nz/ to see if the observatory is open. Updates will be
posted at 6.30pm. This event is aimed at children aged 5-13 and
caregivers are required. Tickets are $5 for children and $10 for
adults, cash sales only. The observatory is located at 218 Bells
Road, West Melton.
