Calling all skaters, come
and enjoy the Summer Skate
Jam series. These events aim to
encourage children and young
people into skating with free
gear hire and coaching from
experienced skaters. Prizes will
be up for grabs for the best trick
competition where participants
can show off their moves.

OUT AND ABOUT: Enjoy a day in the country exploring the private Middle Rock Farm on the
terraces of the Rakaia River for the annual Hororata Parish bike/run/walk fundraiser on Sunday.
With formed shingle 4WD tracks ranging in distance from 6km to 20km, there will be something
for all ages and levels of fitness. People can start anytime between 10am and 2pm. It will be held
wet or fine at 1160 Coleridge Rd, Windwhistle. No pre-registration required, Just pay cash on the
day – $20 adult; $5 school-age child; free for under-fives; $45 family (two adults/up to three
school children). No dogs allowed.
