THE BLACK PEARL<br />
Described as the superyacht world has been missing,<br />
this 106m sailing yacht pushes the boundaries of<br />
innovative design and technology. Features include<br />
a spa pool and hot tub, 2,700GT of interior volume,<br />
and fold-down jetty. Ken Freivokh Design was<br />
contracted for the design and styling work on 7 July<br />
2010. The Black Pearl is currently undergoing sea trials<br />
and should be ready to set sail for the beginning of<br />
the European season.<br />
FINE JEWELS<br />
The most valuable earrings ever to be sold at<br />
auction were unveiled at Sotheby’s London last<br />
month. The 14.54-carat Fancy Vivid Blue diamond<br />
and the 16-carat Fancy Intense Pink diamond will be<br />
offered as individual lots with a combined estimate<br />
of £50-£70 million.<br />
PURDEY SHOTGUN<br />
To coincide with duck season, we hunted down one of the<br />
most expensive guns in the world. These stunning hand-crafted<br />
guns follow a tradition of gun-making excellence that goes back<br />
over two centuries. The founder, James Purdey, started making<br />
guns back in 1798. After joining master gunsmith Joseph Manton,<br />
he went on to forge a gun-making dynasty that would surpass all<br />
others.
