MEDBURY MASQUERADE
An evening of glitz, glamour and gaming unfolded underground at
Sixty6 on Peterborough Street as mysterious figures entered the
room. Eyeing the company and sizing up the competition, the disciples
of lady luck slinked like cunning cats across the den, to do battle at the
table with wheel and cards. In the dim atmosphere of Parisian chic, the
bejewelled masks encompassing the ever-watchful orbits sparkled as
the wearers drifted between pools of light. The Medbury set were out
for fun on their annual “do” which, as always, was upswept and elegant,
making for stylish society worthy of a European capital, transplanted to
rainy Christchurch.
