State Rankings by Sales within 4-Digit SIC—Volumes 6 and 7 include all of the companies that
are profiled in the Alphabetic Listing. Both volumes organize companies by state (including
listings for the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands), then by the 4-digit SIC
code that most closely resembles their principal industry and ranks them according to revenues.
Volumes 6 and 7 also contain rankings of the top private and public companies, as well as the
top employers at the state level. Only those companies with sales figures are included in the
rankings.
Ranked by Sales within 6-Digit NAICS—Volume 8 organizes all companies profiled in the
Alphabetic Listing by the 5- or 6-digit NAICS code that most closely resembles
their principal industry and ranks them according to revenues.
