PURPOSE OF TITLE
DSL is published in two volumes. Volume 1, in six parts, provides detailed contact and descriptive
information on 31,507 subject-specific resource collections maintained by various government
agencies, businesses, publishers, educational institutions, and nonprofit associations worldwide. In
addition, Volume 1 features seven appendixes and a comprehensive subject index, with new subjects.
Volume 2 indexes provide access to libraries by geographic region, as well as by the professional staff
that are cited in each listing. In addition, DSL contains about 100 new or previously unlisted libraries.
FEATURES
18,270 libraries listed that are located outside of the U.S.
Network/Consortia appendixes, U.N. Depository Libraries appendix, World Bank Depository
