Banashankari
The 277th monthly meeting of the Karayogam was conducted
on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at its office premises. The
meeting was presided over by Sri MKS Nair, President
of the Karayogam. This time, the monthly meeting of the
Karayogam was attended by Sri R Manohara Kurup, General
Secretary, KNSS. In his address, Sri Manohara Kurup
thanked the Karayogam for inviting him to the monthly
meeting. He also briefed about various activities of KNSS.
He opined that the Banashankari Karayogam was always in
the forefront in envisaging different kinds of activities and
appreciated the E.C on behalf of the Board. He was present
throughout the meeting keenly observing the proceedings.
Mannam Jayanthi: The Karayogam celebrated “Mannam
Jayanthi” on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Karayogam
office. A large number of members participated in the
function.
DVD of AGT-2017: The set of DVDs of the entire
programme of the 21st Annual Family Get-together and
Onam Celebrations of the Karayogam held on October
8, 2017 is ready for distribution. The cost of the DVD
set, consisting of three DVDs, is Rs 200/-. Members who
want the DVD set may contact Sri Ramesh Nair K R, Joint
Convener, AGT-2017 on mobile No 9448876633 at the
earliest.
Sri Ayyappan Pooja: A special pooja was performed at
the Ayyappan Temple, Yelachenahalli, Bengaluru at the
instance of the Karayogam on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
Potluck: Under the aegis of the Mahila Vibhag of the
Karayogam, a potluck programme is organized on Sunday,
February 4, 2018 at the Karayogam office. In the event,
food cooked by various members would be served. It may
be recalled here that last year, the event was attended by
nearly 60 members. The Karayogam hopes that this year
more and more members would participate in the event.

Aattukal Pongala: This year also, Banashankari Karayogam,
with the active participation of the Mahila Vibhag of the
Karayogam, will be facilitating Attukal Pongala at the
premises of Sri Dharmasasta Temple, Sri Rama Seva
Mandali, Vidyapeeth Road, Chennammanakere Atchukat,
Banashankari III Stage, Bengaluru, at 7 am on Friday, March
2, 2018. Members who want to participate in the event

Malayalam Mission Classes: Members are requested to
utilize the Malayalam classes being conducted between 11

am and 12 noon on all Sundays at the Karayogam Office
premises. Those who are desirous of learning Malayalam,
irrespective of whether they are members of the KNSS or
not, can join the classes. The classes are open to all those
who love Malayalam.
Enrolment of New Members: One new member, Mr
Kannoly Vijayan Nair, a resident of Anjanapura Township,
Bengaluru, introduced by Sri O P Santhosh was inducted
into the family of KNSS during the month.

Mannam Jayanthi was celebrated at 8 am at our office
on 2nd January 18 and sweets were distributed to the
students of Vidyamandir. On January 7th monthly meeting
was held at our office at 10 . 30 AM. After the prayer and
Acharyavandanam, Condolences were given to the following
departed souls.
