Karayogam conducted its monthly EC meeting on 6th<br />
<strong>January</strong>, <strong>2018</strong> at Karayogam office. Sri G S Pillai, Vice<br />
President presided over the meeting. After the Prayer and<br />
Acharya smarana, the meeting started at 5.30 pm. The EC<br />
observed one minute silent prayer for the sad demise of<br />
Smt. Bhageerathi Amma, wife of late Sri M B Menon, our<br />
founder Chairman at Mumbai.<br />
Sri G S Pillai, Vice President welcomed the EC members and<br />
said that the Board Meeting went on well. The arrangement<br />
was good. Now that our chess tournament is scheduled on<br />
7th <strong>January</strong>, requested all members to co operate and make<br />
it grand success. Sri Sanal K Nair, Secretary presented the<br />
minutes of 10th December Executive Committee meeting<br />
and the same was passed after discussions. Sri Sanal said<br />
Inter Karayogam Chess Tournament will be held on 7th<br />
<strong>January</strong> <strong>2018</strong> (Sunday) from 10 AM onwards. The Secretary<br />
requested all members to come and support the youth wing<br />
and the participants. The New office for Karayogam will be<br />
ready soon. The work will start in a day or two. Hopefully,<br />
it will be completed in 15 days time.<br />
New Membership: The application of Sri. Rohith Nair<br />

residing at Kodihalli was approved Sri. C. Gopinathan,<br />
Board Member delivered vote of thanks which was followed<br />
by National Anthem.<br />
<strong>KNSS</strong> Inter Karayogam Chess Tournament: Karayogam<br />
and Youth Wing – Phoenix conducted the 2nd Inter<br />
Karayogam Chess Tournament on 7th <strong>January</strong> <strong>2018</strong><br />
at Global City International School at Malleshpalaya,<br />
Bangalore. There were 30 contestants from 12 Karayogams<br />
in the tournament. In the Seniors category Ms. Shruthi K<br />
from Shimoga Karayogam won the first prize, Mr. Rajeesh<br />
from Indiranagar Karayogam won the second prize and<br />
Mr. Prabhakaran Nambiar from Sarjapura Karayogam<br />
won the third prize. In the Juniors category, Master Rajath<br />
Menon from Whitefield Karayogam won the first prize,<br />
Master Pranav Pillai from Horamavu Karayogam won the<br />
second prize and Master Adithya Nair from Indiranagar<br />
Karayogam won the third prize. The Rolling trophy for the<br />
overall championship was won by Indiranagar Karayogam<br />
based on the total points earned by the Karayogam. Sri.<br />
Manohara Kurup, General Secretary of <strong>KNSS</strong> and Sri. Jaya<br />
Pal, President of Global City International School were<br />
the guests. They presented the trophies and cash prizes to<br />
the winners. Sri G S Pillai, Vice President of Indiranagar<br />
Karayogam presided over the function. Sri. Sanal K Nair,<br />
Secretary and Sri. C Gopinathan, Board Member of the<br />
Karayogam spoke on the occassion. The tournament was<br />
managed by Sri. Sunil Sundareshwaran, President of Youth<br />
