Achiever Award 2016
The Ali Bin Ali Group’s Medical Division has
reached a significant milestone in its drive to
uphold the highest standards in its quality
management process. Ali Bin Ali Medical
announced that the company has now
achieved the required benchmarks and was
recently awarded the ISO 9001:2008
certification for Quality Management
System.
The handing over of the ISO 9001:2008
certification took place on Wednesday the
11th of May 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Head Office
of the Ali Bin Ali Group. Mr. Nabeel Ali Bin
Ali, Vice Chairman and EVP of the Ali Bin Ali
Group welcomed the British Ambassador to
Qatar, H. E. Mr. Ajay Sharma, who attended
the handing over ceremony as guest of honor.
Also in attendance were Mr. Zuhdi Jaouni,
General Manager of Ali Bin Ali Medical, Mr.
Jamal Dalli, Business Development Manager
of BSI and top-level senior management of
the Ali Bin Ali Group, who applauded the
efforts of Ali Bin Ali Medical.
His Excellency the Ambassador congratulated
Ali Bin Ali Medical on the achievement of
this significant milestone and commended the
company for upholding internationally
recognized standards of service excellence.
Speaking to the press, Mr. Nabeel Ali Bin Ali
said, “Today, I am proud that the company has
just been awarded this ISO 9001:2008
certification. We are really pleased that over
the years, Ali Bin Ali Medical has kept its
promise and commitment to deliver worldclass
quality services on a consistent basis, to
Qatar and the region.
“I congratulate Ali Bin Ali Group and
especially the team of Ali Bin Ali Medical for
this remarkable achievement.”
Mr. Zuhdi Al Jaouni, General Manager of Ali
Bin Ali Medical confirmed that this
achievement of Ali Bin Ali Medical is a
testimony of the great commitment and
support the company has received from the
Group’s Chairman, Mr. Adel Ali Bin Ali and
the vice Chairman Mr. Nabeel Ali Bin Ali. He
expressed his confidence that the prestigious
certification, would add value to the company
and enhance customer satisfaction, accuracy
and the professional performance of staff.
The ISO 9001:2008 certification also ensures
optimization of resources, best practices in
process implementation and continual
improvements, hence despite the company
possessing current control of the largest
market share of medical equipment, this
certification is symbolic of Ali Bin Ali
Medical’s commitment to set standards for
others to follow.
In a proud moment for Ali Bin Ali (ABA)
Group, ABA Logistics Assistant Warehouse
Manager Suranga Chamara Welagedara was
selected as a finalist of the Chartered
Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT)-
International Young Achiever Award 2016.
Welagedara has been working with ABA’S
Logistics Division since 2011.
The award ceremony took place on May 9,
2016 in Montreal, Canada, with the CILT
president and CILT members from all over
the world attending the celebration.
The CILT-International Young Achievers
Award recognizes outstanding contribution
and achievement by young men and
women under 35 years, who work in the
logistics profession. There were only six
candidates selected from different countries
for the final award.
Welagedara was recommended and
nominated by CILT-Sri Lanka based on his
achievements under ABA Logistics in the
year 2015. Welagedara was selected for the
final award by the CILT Awards Committee.
