Ali Bin Ali Group celebrates
our 9th Annual Olympic Day!
The Dot Magazine’s readers would most
certainly have been among those who enjoyed
ABA’s 9th Annual Olympic Day! Coinciding with
Qatar’s National Sports Day, our Group brought
together over 2,500 employees and their
families to celebrate the spirit that lies at the
heart of spots and an active lifestyle. ABA
Group’s Olympic day took place at Al Arabi
Sports Club on the 9th of February 2016. The
event commenced with senior personnel of the
Group lighting the traditional Olympic torch,
followed by a range of sports-related activities
and games for all staff, their families and
children. The staff then teamed-up to begin
their activities, sporting four designated team
colors-competing against each other in red,
orange, green and blue.
Mr. Adel Ali Bin Ali, the Chairman and President
for the Ali Bin Ali Group expressed his gratitude
to those who participated in the event and
confirmed his support to the nation’s initiative in
promoting a healthy lifestyle among its citizens
and residents. He said “We should encourage
healthy living standards in our communities. We
have been celebrating the well-being of our
employees and their families for the past 9
years with a day dedicated to sports and
entertainment.” Mr. Adel emphasized that this
event is one of the many initiatives taken to
support Qatar’s national vision. The head of the
Organizing Committee, Mr. Mohammad Imran,
shared his experience in hosting the 9th
Olympic Day for the Group and said, “The
Olympic Day provides a chance for all members
of all divisions to come together, interact, and
enjoy a full day of sports and entertainment. As
our slogan says, “together we work, together
we play.” The event ended on a joyful note with
medals, prizes, raffle draws, and social media
contests.
