Why <strong>Integral</strong> Leadership?<br />
A Brief History of Leadership – Cont.<br />
In the second half of the 20th century, as organizational<br />
growth and complexity amplified, researchers turned their<br />
attention to the environment of the team, and its influence<br />
on leadership outcomes.<br />
Situational leadership (Hersey & Blanchard, 1969) is an<br />
example of this tendency. Emphasis moved to the best way<br />
to lead when certain conditions were present, meaning that<br />
the leader should adjust to the context, being influenced by<br />
the environment to choose his style.<br />
