Take the New Youth Tour<br />

This tour is geared toward<br />

children of elementary school<br />

age and provides them with an<br />

overview of what life was like<br />

over 100 years ago at Stan Hywet<br />

Hall. Given from the perspective<br />

of F.A. & Gertrude Seiberling’s<br />

youngest child, Franklin, the<br />

tour explains to children the<br />

differences between growing up<br />

in their world and Franklin’s.<br />

Highlights include 14 rooms<br />

in the museum with several<br />

Touch-it Stations which may<br />

include telephones, musical<br />

instruments, kitchen utensils,<br />

sporting equipment, cameras,<br />

and vintage games, etc.<br />

Playgarden<br />

Get ready to laugh and play as Playgarden<br />

returns to capture the delight and imagination of<br />

the entire family. Six interactive adventures will<br />

keep the kids occupied for hours as they splash,<br />

climb, bowl, chase, peddle, dig and giggle. The<br />

fun-filled garden environment features a splash<br />

fountain, kid-powered antique truck and antique<br />

bicycle, an archaeological dig, a Tudor Revival<br />

playhouse, bowling lawn and a huge fountain of<br />

bubbles funneled through organ pipes, and<br />

powered by music.<br />

Get an up-close-and-personal<br />

look into the lives of these<br />

incredible insects by visiting the<br />

butterfly habitat located next to<br />

the Corbin Conservatory.<br />

Questing<br />

Follow a series of new clues that<br />

uncover garden secrets and hidden architectural elements to<br />

lead you to a hidden treasure box. Pick up the Seiberling family<br />

clues in admissions or at ohioanderiecanalway.org.<br />

Geocaching<br />

Eight new adventures and hidden treasure boxes called “caches”<br />

may be discovered throughout the property by using your handheld<br />

GPS unit or smart phone at geocache.com.<br />

NEW Seiberling Explorers<br />

This new program series is<br />

offered on Wednesdays<br />

throughout the summer (June<br />

6-August 15) for kids ages 3-6.<br />

Programs will run twice a day<br />

(10:30am and 1:00pm) in the<br />

Playgarden and throughout the<br />

estate taking kids and their parents<br />

on a variety of adventures<br />

learning about bugs, butterflies,<br />

geocaching, questing, and of<br />

course, physical fitness!<br />

Free with admission.<br />
