Workshop Foreman<br />

Bathurst Resources is currently undergoing an exciting period<br />
of growth and change and as a result have an opportunity for a<br />
Workshop Foreman to join our team.<br />
Reporting directly to the Mine Manager, and indirectly to<br />
the Maintenance Manager you will take the lead role on all<br />
maintenance activities carried out on site to meet the operational<br />
and legislative requirements.<br />
This is a leadership role, with your day split between hands on<br />
tasks and administration. Good communication is essential to<br />
help ensure the site meets its targets.<br />
Key responsibilities include<br />
• All Maintenance work is completed in line with the Safety at<br />
Work Act 2015 and Mining Operations Regulations 2016.<br />
• Contributing to and ensuring adherence to maintenance plans,<br />
budgets and the availability and reliability of equipment on site<br />
• Providing strategic direction on mobile equipment/fixed plant<br />
maintenance strategies and improvement initiatives<br />
• Ensure the development, implementation and maintenance<br />
of Standard Operating Procedures, Safe Work Instructions/<br />
Processes, and design standards for operational activities.<br />
• Develop, mentor and train personnel to achieve both succession<br />
planning and regulatory compliance requirement.<br />
• Ensure that maintenance activities and performance are<br />
maintained through actively promoting continuous improvement<br />
across all disciplines to improve safety and maintenance<br />
efficiencies and achieve budget costs<br />
To be successful for this role, you will need to be trade certified,<br />
have at least 3 years’ experience (post apprenticeship) as a<br />
Heavy Diesel Mechanic or in a heavy equipment environment.<br />
Leadership experience would be advantageous.<br />
