to its technology
supermarket that
demonstrates its breadth of
expertise in the food sector.
“From food and ingredients
processing through
marination, tenderising,
separation, homogenisation
to slicing, packaging and
refrigeration, we have a
large portfolio to share with
our customers,” says Derek
Paterson, GEA head of food
processing & packaging sales
in the UK. “So it was quite
a natural progression to our
theme of the technology
supermarket, simply because
our customers can pick
and choose from a range
of standardised equipment
or work with us to customise
and create complete line
solutions for their food or
beverage plant.”
When visitors arrive on
the GEA stand they can
experience the technology
through the products they
buy such as cheese, meat,
poultry and beverages.

an efficient reciprocating
compressor will also be shown.
With its expertise in cooling
systems for industrial and
commercial applications
including food, beverage
and dairy processing, GEA’s
emphasis is on the use of
reliable, energy-efficient
design, natural refrigerants
and energy-reuse systems.

MDS will demonstrate this unit
A range of metal
detection models
will be exhibited
Metal Detection Services (MDS),
the authorised UK representative
for CEIA metal detectors, will
showcase various models from
the Italian manufacturers range.
The MS21 multi-spectrum
technology together with the new
FBV conveyor system designed for
the inspection of vertical filled or
jar-based products will be shown at
the event while the IXC data capture
facility will also be highlighted.
Visitors to the stand can see
live demonstrations along with
product testing and evaluation,
says David Hale of MDS.
The company offers technical
support, validation, breakdown
repairs and system upgrades
which are all designed to meet
retailer and BRC requirements.
Also, a 24-7 service back up is
offered by the UK company.
