Also in the spotlight on the stand will be the reduction of plastics in packaging, along with plastics alternatives. Since the recent launch of the UK’s new agenda for the environment, reduction of avoidable plastic packaging waste is one of the hot topics for UK food producers so the company will present both packaging materials and machine solutions to tackle this subject, and all without compromising pack presentation. The G 700 traysealing packaging machine, a highoutput, flexible traysealer suitable for those looking to pack ready meals, snacks, vegetables and a range of fresh-cut products will be on show while for producers looking to reduce labour in their businesses, the H 130 handling Multivac will demonstrate a full range of efficient processing and packaging module for automatic loading of packs into boxes or crates will be demonstrated. In addition, the company will exhibit the R 145 thermoformer with its new BAS 20 special cutting system and H 052 handling module. Meanwhile, the R 145 thermoformer provides a flexible system with a range of new equipment options designed to produce shaped packs efficiently. The BAS 20 cutting system within the machine is designed to cut unique shapes with minimal trim waste, contributing towards reduced pack costs. To demonstrate the company’s ability to integrate each of its machines, an integrated line will be on show and connected through This Smokejet smoke generator will be seen on this year’s Foodex stand its recipe management software enabling the machines to communicate with one another and therefore optimise line efficiency. The packaging line will consist of an R 105 Multifresh thermoforming machine, a 1 211 inspection system, and an L 310 D wrap and L 310 blow on labelling systems. An I 410 vision system reduces any final likelihood of labelling errors. Also presented will be efficient processing and portioning solutions from TVI, Laska, Risco and Schröter.
