Dinos and Dragons<br />

Children will get to meet living relatives of the dinosaurs and<br />
friendly dragons as they get up-close looks at our birds of prey,<br />
turtles, and lizards in the nature center. We will also perform some<br />
hands-on experiments, creating fun volcanoes, earthquakes,<br />
quicksand and more!<br />

Family Nature Workshop: Animal Signs and Tracking<br />

We don't always see all the different animals that live in UMLY's<br />
Cassatt Preserve, but we can often find signs that they leave<br />
behind. In this workshop we will learn about scat, rubbings, fur,<br />
pellets, and how to read different animal tracks.<br />

The ponds, wetlands, and streams of the Cassatt Preserve are<br />
brimming with life. Some creatures are easy to spot, while others<br />
are hidden. With our nets and buckets in hand we will see what<br />
kinds of natural wonders we can turn up.<br />
