participation in Attukal Devi Pongala on 2nd <strong>March</strong><br />
<strong>2018</strong>. We had more than 100 Pongalas this year as per<br />
the expectation. All the members gathered previous day<br />
evening in preparation for the Annadanam which was held<br />
on Pongala day. President thanked EC Member Mr. G<br />
Radhakrishnan for taking the lead role of coordinating Pooja<br />
and Koottu Pongala on Pongala day. President also thanked<br />
Mr Panicker, President Shabareesha Trust for his help for<br />
making Pongala a grand success.<br />
Mathapadhashala: Mathapadhashala inauguration was<br />
held on the same day. Lalitha sahasranamam - word by word<br />
explanation under the leadership of our EC member Mrs.<br />
Girija Sasikumar will be held on all Saturdays at <strong>KNSS</strong><br />
office. All the members, their family and friends are invited<br />
to come and take part in this initiative.<br />
Souvenir: Souvenir for this year was published and<br />
distributed to all members under the leadership of Col.<br />
Sasikumar. President Mr Radhakrishanan thanked Col.<br />
Sasikumar for getting the Souvenir published on time and<br />
making it so informative and colourful. Col. Sasikumar in<br />
turn thanked all the members, especially Sakhi Jt Treasurer<br />
Mrs Indira and Sakhi Secretary Mrs Priya Arun for their<br />
great help and coordination during the Souvenir publication<br />
process.<br />
Col. Sasikumar also suggested that we should start a<br />
group insurance for all the members of <strong>KNSS</strong> Kothannur<br />
Karayogam. President Mr Radhakrishnan and EC member<br />
Col. Sasikumar distributed the prize to MMET School<br />
students for the winners in Essay competition held by the<br />
Karayogam. Committee discussed regarding the date and<br />
venue for sponsoring th <strong>KNSS</strong> Board meeting which is<br />
to be held in the coming month. Since our Treasurer Mr<br />
E K Ramakrishnan is indisposed, Committee elected Mr<br />
Panicker as Treasurer in charge. Secretary Mr Arunlal Vijay<br />
announced about the <strong>KNSS</strong> Mahila convention on 18th<br />
<strong>March</strong>. Also the Sakhi members are participating in the<br />
Mega Thiruvathira happening on the same day.<br />
He also told that the youth wing has to be restructured since<br />
the participation from Youth in Karayogam activities is to be<br />
rejuvenated. Meeting ended with vote of thanks by Secretary<br />

The monthly executive meeting of Mangaluru Karayogam<br />
was conducted at 10.30 am on 11-3-<strong>2018</strong> in our new office.<br />
In the absence of President and Vice President, Sri. P.K.S<br />
Pillai, Board member of Karayogam presided over the<br />
meeting. The meeting started with silent prayer followed by<br />
welcome speech by Sri. S.Ajith Kumar, Secretary. Secretary<br />
read the minutes of last Executive meeting.<br />
New Karayogam: Discussion about the status of New<br />
Karayogam opening in Puttur were held. Sri. P.K.S Pillai<br />
informed that he will arrange a meeting shortly in this month<br />
with representatives from Puttur.<br />
Dance Class: Committee approved the proposal to provide<br />
a name for our ongoing Dance class and give publicity to<br />
induct more students.<br />
Charity by Mahila Vibhag: The Committee appreciated<br />
our Mahila Vibhagam for donating chairs to a charitable<br />
institution on the occasion of Women’s day celebration.<br />
