How long have you been in your current position?
Two years.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love that no two days are alike and each day presents
a new challenge or opportunity. I am also blessed to work
with an incredible group of people who are like family.
Is there something that stands out as a special memory?
For the past two years at Christmas, our employees have
donated needed items to the Christmas House at Mississippi
State Hospital. Everyone coming together to give back
to the community was very special.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
One of the best pieces of advice I’ve ever heard is from a quote
that’s been around for as long as I can remember: “Be kind, for
everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” It’s a wonderful
reminder to extend grace to others even when it’s not easy.
Your Hometown?
I grew up in Dallas, but Brandon
has been home for the last 15 years.

How long have you been in your current position?
Ten years – five years in 7th and 8th grade front office and five
years in 6th grade office.
What is your favorite thing about your job?
I love the children. I hope they see a friendly face when they
come to the office for help. I have also made many life long
friends over the years who are like my family.
Is there something that stands out as a special memory?
Once we were surprising a principal with a birthday cake.
We loaded it with so many candles that it literally melted
half the cake and it kind of caught on fire. Dog Jam has
brought lots of fond memories as well.
What is the best piece of advice you’ve been given?
My English grandmother “Nannie” always told me to treat others
as you want to be treated. I try to treat the children as I would want
someone to treat my children with understanding and compassion.
