Membership in pr<strong>of</strong>essional organizations and associations are excellent resources for training that will<br />
benefit the GoJ. It is recommended that subscription to pr<strong>of</strong>essional associations and institutions be made<br />
and access given to <strong>ICT</strong> staff within the GoJ. Membership can be in local, regional and international or<br />
global research associations and pr<strong>of</strong>essional organizations. Example <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essional organizations for<br />
<strong>ICT</strong> include the Association <strong>of</strong> Computing Machinery (ACM), the Institute <strong>of</strong> Electrical and Electronics<br />
Engineers (IEEE), the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC) 2 , SAS,<br />
and other information systems, network and cyber security organizations and conferences.<br />
Membership is particularly good to keep abreast <strong>of</strong> developments in highly specialize technologies such<br />
as internet <strong>of</strong> things (IoT) artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives such as robotics. These can be used to<br />
stimulate ideas for the F10 <strong>ICT</strong> Job Family.<br />
