ATTAINMENT LEVELS IN THE BSC<br />
To create the academic writing line, we divided<br />
academic writing skills into three aspects. Below you<br />
see the level a student should attain within each<br />
aspect during the Bachelor at IDE in order to be able<br />
FORM & LANGUAGE<br />
› Familiar with different types of reports and their<br />
audience (design / business / research report)<br />
› Compiling a reference list that follows the APA<br />
guidelines<br />
› Writing a text free from distracting spelling and<br />
grammar mistakes<br />
› Writing in an academic writing style<br />
ARGUMENT<br />
› Assessing the value of sources<br />
› Assessing the relative value of own method and<br />
claims and other sources<br />
› Writing persuasively<br />
› Justifying the relevance of a claim for its context<br />
COHERENCE<br />
› Coherence in the text:<br />
› Coordinating sentences<br />
› Using topic sentences<br />
› Bridging chapters in a logical way<br />
› Distinguishing between essential and secondary<br />
information<br />
