Croydon’s biggest summer party is set to sizzle
for the 7th great year with a great line up of
music, entertainment and fabulous food for the
whole family.
The Croydon Food and Music Festival in
association with Leon House will be held from
12 noon to 7pm on Sunday, 24th June in the
heart of the borough’s famous Restaurant
Quarter.
The hugely popular FREE event, which
attracted more than 12,000 people last
summer, will once again see the ‘villagey’
South End closed to traffic to allow visitors to
relax and enjoy the carnival atmosphere.
Visitors can sample world cuisine from dozens
of street food and restaurant stalls, dining
alfresco at tables along the street. There will be
cocktail and prosecco bars for the grown-ups
– and street performers and entertainment for
the children throughout the afternoon.
Peter Bagatti, SCBA deputy chairman and
owner of Bagatti’s Restaurant, on South End,
who are taking part in the event, added:
“Last year’s festival was a fantastic day which
showcased our exciting and fast changing
borough at its very best.
“It brought together people of all backgrounds
and cultures to enjoy great food and music in a
happy, carnival atmosphere. And bringing people
together is what the Croydon Food & Music
Festival is all about."
Two featured stages will host top class acts and
bands performing every genre of music from
folk and rock to jazz and blues.
The festival was founded by South Croydon
Business Association (SCBA) and organised on
their behalf by White Label Creative. It is also
sponsored by Bagatti’s Restaurant,
Bryden Johnson, London Borough of Croydon
Councillors Maria Gatland, Michael Neal and
Jason Perry, Croydon Partnership,
Scream Studios and Tre Fratelli.
