Foreword 3 Thank you to our customers When we cast a glance at our most recently accomplished ropeways, one thing is quite clear: We have professional and innovative customers around the entire world. It is their wide range of wishes, their technical affinity and their determination to offer guests something new that enable us to live out our passion for innovation and put our many years of experience to the test. The Stoos funicular with its level-adjusting cabins, a gondola lift in Val Thorens incorporating an unmanned operation concept or a new world record on Phú Quôc in Vietnam are just a few examples of innovative ropeway projects that we have planned, built and opened in recent years and months. The Schatzberg lift wows its guests and operating crew, and in Andermatt comfort has also been writ large and taken to a whole new level. Innovative funicular railway 11 The Stoos funicular in Switzerland is unique worldwide and features an impressively innovative concept for the cars. 26 We consider it important not only to deliver a cutting-edge product but, above and beyond that, to be a reliable partner to our customers. We support them from the initial idea, through planning and development, the administrative process with the authorities and organizational matters during the project as well as after the ropeway installation has gone into service. Our customer support is available worldwide 24/7/365. Our customers can rely on a comprehensive portfolio of services for all things related to the ropeway, information and tips for ropeway personnel and the appropriate assistance when required. Finally, our thanks are due to our 96 customers, who worked with the Doppel mayr/Garaventa Group over the past year on the completion of 105 projects in 24 countries around the globe, and to all those who built ropeways with us in the past or with whom we are working on new installations for the future.
