has added two items to its line: the<br />
Model 06E threaded/screw-fit hot<br />
runner nozzle <strong>and</strong> Model PNC3008<br />
pneumatic bolt-on actuator for valve<br />
gate hot runner systems with Plug’n<br />
Play ® functionality.<br />
The Model 06E nozzle represents an<br />
enhancement of Synventive’s offering<br />
of small, threaded, leakproof manifold<br />
nozzles. It is supplied in thermal<br />
gate <strong>and</strong> valve gate options, features<br />
a 6-mm flow bore (with 20-mm<br />
mould cutout) <strong>and</strong> is designed for<br />
small shot weights up to 100 g per<br />
nozzle. Being threaded into the manifold,<br />
the 06E nozzle provides a leakproof<br />
system without critical stackup<br />
dimensions to be maintained.<br />
The nozzle comes in lengths of 60 to<br />
200 mm. It is externally heated by<br />
replaceable heaters with integrated,<br />
replaceable thermocouples.<br />
When Model 06E nozzles are used<br />
as a valve gate system <strong>and</strong> combined<br />
with a Synventive bolt-on actuator,<br />
the complete hot runner system is<br />
supplied prewired <strong>and</strong> preassembled<br />
<strong>and</strong> without any need for hoses; the<br />
lines are drilled into the top clamp<br />
plate. This configuration allows for<br />
simple Plug’n Play mould installation.<br />
The PNC3008 bolt-on valve gate<br />
actuator also simplifies hot runner<br />
installation in the mould by providing<br />
Plug’n Play capability. Among the key<br />
features of the actuator is a customer-supplied<br />
cover plate that allows<br />
the valve pin to be removed or adjusted<br />
without necessitating removal of<br />
the top clamp plate. In turn, the top<br />
clamp plate can be removed without<br />
valve pins having to be removed from<br />
the hot runner. No extra pneumatic<br />
or cooling hoses are required, nor are<br />
side-force/load-on valve pins; the pins<br />
are perfectly aligned. Active cooling is<br />
provided through the back plate.<br />
