Bhai rocks!
Salman Khan is a true maverick. Only someone like
him could call up Bobby Deol and ask him to be part of
his action extravaganza, the only condition being that
Bobby should look good in a shirtless scene. The result
is that Bobby, who had been lying low for years, worked
his ass off in the gym, got in a helluva shape, which
belies his 50 years and suddenly is in the news again.
For all the right reasons this time. That’s called the
power of Bhai alright.
There are examples galore of how many newcomers
he has helped, how many fortunes he has helped build,
how many careers he has rejuvenated. And these are
well-documented, genuine stories. Not some whispers
in the dark. You are assured of a fast track to success
if Bhai takes an interest in you. His name is enough to
open every door. Have people taken advantage of that?
Yes. Does he care? No. Because he knows that he only
has to make his displeasure public and that person’s
career will start nosediving. That doors will slowly shut
on that person.
Bhai truly has a large heart. And he hasn’t forgotten
his own humble beginnings. He remembers the time
when he was a nobody. When strangers came to his aid
and set him right. In his own way, he’s trying to repay
all those people, whose identity only he knows, by
helping others. He isn’t immune to mistakes. All those
cases against him are but proof of that. But it’s these
frailties, which make him human. He’s no all- virtuous
angel but a man, who’s known to falter often. But such
is his resilience that he has overcome every obstacle to
rise bigger and better than the rest.
One thing that has eluded him is a stable
relationship. He has been linked with many but truly
hasn’t found the woman of his dreams. Of late, it seems,
he has kind of made his peace with that ideal and let
go of that dream. And that kind of has added to his
allure, to his star charisma. His fans have only increased
because of that. Tags like ‘eternal bachelor’, don’t really
matter to him. He’s immune to all that and more.
He’s perhaps our last superstar in the true sense of
the word. The Moby Dick that will forever remain a
myth, not needing anyone’s endorsement, happy in his
own company...
