Lex started his karting career<br />
as an 8 year old at a<br />
birthday party organised by<br />
his father and soon demonstrated<br />
skills far beyond his<br />
age. Lex then progressed and<br />
started to compete in various<br />
indoor meetings topping<br />
leader boards and eventually<br />
winning races.<br />
<strong>The</strong> next logical step was for<br />
Lex to start racing on outside<br />
tracks. It was at one of these<br />
meetings that Lex noticed<br />
a good many owner drivers<br />
who ran their own machinery<br />
which were much faster and<br />
stronger than the karts provided<br />
by the circuit.<br />
Lex’s dad<br />
spotted an almost<br />
new kart for sale and decided<br />
that, to give Lex the best<br />
opportunity to succeed, he had<br />
to buy it.<br />
Lex now competes in the Senior<br />
Evo Max category racing<br />
a Tony Kart fitted with a Rotax<br />
125 Senior Max Evo engine.<br />
